Lion Sands - for a thrilling bush experience

Lion Sands is a boutique lodge situated in the Southern portion of the 65,000-hectare Sabi Sands Game Reserve, an area that is very well known for it's high concentration of wildlife through both the dry and wet seasons; not to mention the wonderful flora, and its here that exciting experiences of wildlife and their unique activities based around the river system and surrounding area are to be found.

There are only 6 villas here, and for the enthusiastic game lover, Lion Sands - Ivory Lodge is a must, promising an unforgettable game experience. The rooms are very big, all glass fronted so you are able to get fabulous views onto the river below, or you can even sit in your own plunge pool and watch the game from the decks. Of course, if you are looking for total privacy, you may even have your meals on the deck of your own villa; great pride has gone into the cuisine.

Guests can also choose to spend a night in the Tree House. This has a beautiful bed on stilts. The Tree House is situated in the middle of the bush and is the ultimate pleasure if you are searching for privacy and a romantic treat.

Lion Sands forms part of the Kruger National Park and there are marvellous facilities such as plunge pools, spa areas, a gym, walking, game drives and night drives. Excellent game viewing months are from May to mid October. Expect to see the predators, grazers and a vivid collection of colourful birds darting from tree to tree.
