Hot Air Ballooning is a gentle aviation discipline enjoyed around the world. Cardinal Leisure clients have the option of selecting their experience from four specific balloon flights.

Classic Balloon Flight

These flights are ideal for guests wishing to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Flights launch from various locations in the Cradle of Humankind – a prescribed World Heritage site, or from locations near the Magaliesburg mountain range.

Guests will enjoy a glass of champagne, while the pilot skillfully ascends above the scenic landscape. The pale glow of dawn gradually gives way to the warm yellows and oranges of another spectacular African sunrise.

The 1 hour flight is followed by a full English Breakfast.

Safari Balloon Flight

For that “Out of Africa” sensation, try the Safari Balloon flight. Game viewing will never be the same again! These flights launch from within the Lion & Rhino Park Nature Reserve, and offer the possibility of spotting numerous animal species from the air. The balloon basket serves as an unusual platform for both scenic and wildlife photographic opportunities.

Guests will enjoy a glass of champagne, while the pilot skillfully ascends above the nature reserve. The gently intensifying sunrise slowly reveals the majestic wildlife kingdom below.
