Hayward's Grand Safari Events and Expeditions is a world leader in the creation of big-group expeditions and events in the African hinterland.
Being eco-friendly, sustainable and socially responsible is central to the company. Hayward's expertise lies in the art of producing and managing
top drawer tented camp experiences for large groups of opinion leaders, celebrities and private business tycoons within Big Five game reserves and
wilderness regions throughout southern Africa. In these remote locations, Hayward's and its selected partners execute the client's wildest dreams
from start to finish, including the creation of authentic themes, vivid stage performances, delectable catering and hair-raising adventure activities.

Itinerary
Guests arrive at Capital Park, where they are welcomed by Rovos Rail with sparkling wine or orange juice before stepping aboard
the train for canapés and a journey the Cullinan Station.
13h30 - Guests arrive at Cullinan Station, where they are transferred to Cullinan diamond mine - where the world's biggest diamond was found.
An hour presentation with an opportunity to purchase diamonds will be part of the itinerary.
Guests are transferred from Cullinan in 4X4 vehicles or 16 seat busses to Hayward's Safari Sanctuary.
15h00 - Guests arrive at Hayward's Safari Reception in the Bobbejaansberg Nature Reserve, and enjoy an African/Arabic Traders ceremonial coffee.
Guests depart on a 1.5 km walk through the foothills of the Bobbejaansberg Mountains and guided by the safari camp askaris (wildlife guards) -
water and juice on offer.
16h00 - Half way to camp guests stumble upon a Butler offering an East African Dhawa welcome drink
16h30 - Guests are welcomed to the camp site with a hand wash ceremony.
17h00 - 18h30 - A bar with refreshing drinks on offer and a pre dinner Trader snacks
Choose one of the following activities:

- Guided Horse Trails - 6X saddled horses tethered in camp ready to explore over 1000 hectares of prime Transvaal savannah.
Leave camp on a two to three hour leisurely pace with expert guides - a great way to view game up close!
- Guided Walking Adventure - Accompanied by highly knowledgeable guides, on is taken on a journey of exploration through the magnificence of
Boekenhoutskloof and the Bobbejaansberg Reserve. climb to the lookout point and see the famous diamond mines of Cullinan far in the distance.
- Game Drives - Enjoy an early morning or late afternoon game drive through the reserve. This is a 2 - 3 hour excursion. Maximum 17 guests per
game drive.
- Mountain Biking - Explore the African Bushveld on a mountain bike trail. Close encounters with the wild life in the reserve. A guide will go with the group
to point out birds, trees and animals of interest on request.
Choose one of the following activities:

- The SPICE HOUSE Safari Spa - Spice up your day out on safari with our incredible full body scrub with a blend of the finest spices, cinnamon, vanilla and sandalwood
that penetrate through all senses inviting an escape of delightful bodily sensations, followed by an exotic full body cinnamon delight massage. Qualified therapists
provide guests with an array of anti stress treatments - all uniquely "under canvass". Message beds, towels and oil all included. Anti Stress treatments only - no beauty
treatments.
- African Birds of Prey - The region with its many waterways is a migrant bird paradise. To the North is Nylsclei Bird Sanctuary and Rust de Winter dam, to the south the
Roodeplaat dam and nature reserve - an ideal area for raptors. Guided bird-safaris in the region will reveal many unusual species. African Birds of Prey can also be combined
with Cheetahs and Lions. Approximately 1½ - 2 hours activity.
- A professional handler bring snakes and baby crocs into camp where an hour presentation about these animals. Not for the fainthearted!
- Fireside Stories - Roger Webster, author of Fireside Stories is a renowned South African historian and raconteur. His unique ability
to weave intriguing fables of old and placing emphasis on the deeds performed by the heroines within each story creates a space for impactful and highly reflective learning.
Roger believes that many heroic deeds, by both black and white South Africans, have been forgotten, or, for political reasons, been brushed under the carpet over time.
With the onset of land reform, he covers many aspects of what actually happened in bygone times which colours our present perceptions and he pulls no punches. There will
be question time afterwards, and if there is demand for a few more true South African stories, there is a lot more as Roger has researched hundreds of forgotten folk tales,
each with their own lesson in life.
- Stories of the African Night Sky - Hayward's stage astronomy viewing events. Large telescopes are set up on site and guests view the stars and constellations, planets,
moon and comets. The astronomy team members are qualified presenters who are capable of combining astronomy with African star lore and legends to make astronomy interesting for everyone.
The company's telescope systems meet the requirements of stargazing enthusiasts through to serious sky watchers, researchers and astro photographers
19h30 - An Ivory Traders dinner is served in the Gin Tent or around the Traders Oasis, with crackling fires and gastronomic taste sensation journey of 4-5 courses with paired wine.
A world class, elegant Saxophonist will create a relaxing and warm atmosphere with a backdrop of ivory draping, crystal glasses and silver plattered choices, served by a well-trained
and professional Silver Service Butler team.
The Saxophonist performance for during dinner entertainment has been included.
